Before setting up Adding Value in 2014, Matthew held board-level finance roles in the further education and charity sectors, and has also held strategic finance roles in the NHS, the insurance sector, and the arts and cultural sector. Matthew is a non-executive director at Magenta Living Housing Association, and a mentor to business start-ups at Capacity Labs. In 2017 he completed an MBA with the University of Liverpool, achieving a distinction. His dissertation was on Measuring Social Value. In 2018/19 Matthew acted as Interim Chief Executive for FACT for a nine-month period.

JAMES HERNANDEZ
Associate Fundraising and Development Consultant
James has over 27 years of fundraising and business development experience. He has worked across Museums and Galleries, Community Development and Regeneration, Arts, Heritage and Culture and is skilled in building partnerships, stakeholder management and delivering cultural transformation.
He has developed and delivered a range of diverse fundraising campaigns and has successfully fundraised for major capital projects including the International Slavery Museum, Lady Lever Art Gallery and Museum of Liverpool. James has secured six and seven figure grants from National Lottery Heritage Fund, Government, Arts Council England, European Commission and private foundations.
James has pioneered and led many diverse community organisations including Liverpool Community Spirit (Co-Founder, former Chair/Trustee); Brouhaha International (former Chair), and The Greenhouse Multi-Cultural Play and Arts Project (former Chair). He is a Trustee of The Royal Albert Dock Charitable Foundation and is a Co-Founder and Co-Director of Diversify Your Talent, a Cultural Change and Recruitment Community Interest Company.
PIPPA LEA
Associate Marketing Consultant
Pippa Lea has over 20 years experience in arts administration in PR and marketing, audience development, digital strategy, stakeholder communications, ticketing and visitor experience. She has held press, PR and marketing positions at the National Portrait Gallery, London, Foster + Partners Architects, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres, Floral Pavilion Theatre and Conference Centre, and the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) Liverpool.
She is currently Marketing and Audience Development Director at Llangollen International Eisteddfod, Deputy Chair of St Helens Cultural Hubs Advisory Board and was previously Co-Chair of Wirral Visitor Economy Board.
