BA (hons) MBA (distinction) CPFA
Before setting up Adding Value in 2014, Matthew worked as a finance director in the further education and charity sectors. He has also held strategic finance roles in the NHS, insurance sector, the arts sector and the BBC. Matthew's expertise is in business strategy, developing business plans, financial modelling and financial forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, cost reduction, and organisational transformation and turnaround. In 2018/19 Matthew acted as Interim Chief Executive for FACT for a nine-month period.
Matthew is also non-executive director at Magenta Living Housing Association, and a mentor to business start-ups at Capacity Labs. In 2017 he completed an MBA with the University of Liverpool, achieving a distinction. His dissertation was on Measuring Social Value.
BA PART-QUALIFIED AAT
Adam has over five years of experience of working as a finance controller in the technology, hospitality and construction sectors. He currently provides finance controller services across multiple organisations, as well as additional support and consultancy to other clients. His systematic approach and attention to detail is highly valued by the team.
Adam's skills include the preparation of management accounts, cash flow forecasting, payroll administration, VAT returns, bookkeeping, and credit control. He also has experience of assisting in the preparation of R&D Tax Credit claims, as well as dealing with financial reporting & claim preparation for funding bodies such as Innovate UK and SBRI. He is an expert in using the Xero accounting system.
With over 11 years’ experience in financial roles, including 5 years in management accountancy, Taiana joins us from the investment banking sector where she specialised in data strategy, operational risk and process optimisation. CIMA qualified, Taiana has proven success in reducing risk and achieving significant cost reductions through identification and removal of non-value adding processes. Taiana has experience with Xero accounting software, management accounts preparation, payroll administration, cash flow forecasting, VAT returns and general bookkeeping.
Sharon is a motivated management accountant with solid experience at all levels of the accounting processes, especially budgeting, forecasting and month end preparation and reporting. With a track record of achievement in social housing finance as well as commercial experience, Sharon brings effective process and people management skills to any situation.
Associate Practice Accountant
Tom has 10 years of experience working in a variety of accountancy practices across the North West of England. Tom is a member of The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and has held this qualification since 2015. Tom also holds The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification and has held this qualification since 2011. His knowledge of accounting systems is vast including Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, Free Agent, IRIS and Just Accounts.
In his spare time Tom enjoys watching football matches, playing guitar, cooking and travelling different places around the world. Tom is also a qualified FA football referee.
Associate Marketing Consultant
Pippa Lea has over 20 years experience in arts administration in PR and marketing, audience development, digital strategy, stakeholder communications, ticketing and visitor experience. She has held press, PR and marketing positions at the National Portrait Gallery, London, Foster + Partners Architects, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Theatres, Floral Pavilion Theatre and Conference Centre, and the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) Liverpool.
She is currently Marketing and Audience Development Director at Llangollen International Eisteddfod, Deputy Chair of St Helens Cultural Hubs Advisory Board and was previously Co-Chair of Wirral Visitor Economy Board.
Alexandra is a motivated digital marketer, who discovered her passion for marketing in 2014, by creating a personal brand on social media. By holding an IC3 Digital Literacy Certification, proves her knowledge with the Microsoft software and Google tools, essential in the marketing industry.
With skills in social media planning, content creation, CRM, marketing campaigns, SEO development and market research, Alexandra aims to add value to the company by improving brand awareness and recognition.
Rachel is a motivated individual with strong communication skills built while working with different people and responding to their needs. Holding a BSc in Accounting & Finance, she currently provides bookkeeping, credit control and finance admin services for our clients, as well as additional support for our team.
While being trained in Accounting and Finance, she already has proven experience in preparing personal tax returns with complex amounts of information, possessing great organisational and time management skills.
